Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of the critically acclaimed Persona 4 Golden, rebuilt for modern platforms by ATLUS and P-Studio. The game follows a group of high school students in the rural Japanese town of Inaba, where a series of mysterious murders become linked to a supernatural realm known as the Midnight Channel.
As players investigate the case, they balance everyday school life with exploring dangerous dungeons, building friendships, and awakening powerful Personas. The original Persona 4 became one of the most beloved entries in the Persona series thanks to its memorable cast, compelling mystery narrative, and unique blend of turn-based combat and social simulation.
Persona 4 Revival modernises the experience with completely rebuilt visuals, redesigned user interfaces, updated combat systems, enhanced cutscenes, and numerous quality-of-life improvements inspired by later entries such as Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload. ATLUS has described the project as a fresh reimagining that remains faithful to the spirit of the original while bringing it in line with modern expectations.
The remake was officially announced during the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2025 and is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
